Tehachapi Mountain House

The house was great. Christopher was very responsive. Beautiful setting in the hills, but close to town. We will definitely be back.

The house is large however it’s outdated and has a old house smell. Unfortunately it was hard to sleep in because the gardeners start mowing the lawn at 8am. Check is is late and check out is average time. The house would be good for a large group of ppl that are okay with a crash pad type place.

This is a huge, hearty mountain home perfect for families that want to play! We had amazing weather to play corn hole, swing,and attempt to climb into the big hammock. Nothing is fancy and the couches are huge and comfy. This was our second stay and it was great! Easy communication with host Christopher.

Lots of space for extended family gathering. Everyone had some privacy while common areas provided plenty of room to congregate and enjoy each other.

Beautiful home with all the amenities. Very quiet and comfortable. Expect to see a few deer in the evening. Nice linens and comfy beds.

The Stay Was Pleasant Pleasant in every meaning of the word. Restful Relaxing and Comfortable. The young adults had plenty to do and so did we. They provide us with a clean and comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend staying there, especially if what you are looking for is comfort and a home feel. Our friend has a Ranch 10 min away in Bear Valley although her home is sizable so is our family we needed to find somewhere large enough to hold our entire family. This Home was perfect for that. The games provided by the host was perfect for the young adults and nature provided everything else for the older folks, lol! The Heated blanket in the master bedroom was everything for me. I am not one that enjoys the cold but it made sleeping so much better. its details like those that make host a "super host" We had two house holds stay behind last min due to COVID19 outbreak but yet we still had a great time. The house was great! Very spacious and comfortable. All of the rooms are large and have their own bathrooms. Big and private yard with grass and a pool. Host is accommodating and communicative.

Beautiful home! Lots of space in all the rooms (kitchen, living, basement, bath). Highly recommended for anyone staying in the surrounding area. I stayed in March and the weather was a bit chilly.

Our second time back and it was as great as the first!

This was a beautiful setting, easy with a dog. The house is huge and comfy. The house and decor are a little worn, but the beds and linens new and every room was clean. Christopher was very accommodating and quick to respond. The Dorner Winery is very close! We plan to use this home again for more family get togethers!

This home is the perfect family get together property. Plenty of room for everyone, the large kitchen is perfect for family meals. The beautiful Tehachapi mountains and landscaping are breathtaking from the large extended porch. Our family had the most perfect weekend here celebrating my sons wedding.

This host and location are wonderful! Very clean! The house and property are gigantic! We had a lovely time staying there while we visited the are for a wedding. All necessities were provided and the house was very clean. We would love to stay again!

Our team stays all over the state, all year long as we travel for work. Christopher’s place in Tehachapi feels like home to us every time we are there. We absolutely love the property and the house from top to bottom. It is clean and comfortable with tons of amenities, there is plenty of cooking supplies to prepare large meals for many people. We can’t say enough good things about the house and about the host. This is definitely the place for you if you have a large group that enjoys plenty of outdoor time and porch time to soak in the beautiful surroundings.

Chris was a great host. Very communicative, personable and helpful with great attention to detail. The place itself was amazing. We’ll definitely be back. Great for a small group or a large gathering. The house has a lot of different places to hang out with friends, plenty of beds and a well stocked kitchen. There are also activities nearby—nature, bars, etc.

I never would have guessed DREAM HOME would be in Tehachapi. this home is absolutely stunning and all of the amenities the host provides like dishes, clean linens, even toiletries, makes this house feel just like home.

The property is absolutely amazing, we had a large group of 12, but there was plenty of space for everyone to sleep and great areas where everyone could relax and chat. The internet was great and consistent. The house is about 30-40 minutes from Willow springs raceway and is a wonderful drive. The entire experience was fantastic and we wished we could've stayed longer, if you are in town for a race, visiting, or just was a nice place to relax, this place is it.

Huge space and beautiful grounds ! We all had a fantastic time. Check in easy. Everything was clean. Communication was excellent. The host went above and beyond and found my daughters stuffie that was left behind. A super memorable weekend for the whole family. The swing and the hammock and the front porch were highlights. So peaceful ! Yet close to a great bakery and delish Thai food !

The driveway towards the home was incredible, the circular driveway, the huge porch with awesome sunset views. Lot's of memories were made on the porch just sitting down catching up with life. The pool was very relaxing the grandkids had so much fun. The living room, the kitchen, the dining room lots of memories were made laughter throughout the house. Grandkids just enjoying themselves on the big front yard, riding their scooter around the circular driveway, playing soccer, dancing to the music, creating huge bubbles it was hilarious. I really enjoy our stay it was incredible my grandkids told me can we go to the summer house again?

Beautiful home. Front porch was my favorite place! Pool was great, not cold but surprisingly cool for the outside temperature in July. We needed help with outside lighting and Chris responded in literally 2 minutes! Highly recommend the home.

We had a great stay at Christophers place it was amazing, we loved our family weekend! It was super peaceful, quiet and relaxing. The house and the surrounding was very clean and spacious. The house itself was beautiful and amazing so many rooms and such a welcoming place. We felt right at home and we are very thankful for the great weekend we spent at such a beautiful and relaxing home. Cons would be the upstairs gets too hot and the fans don’t help much. Hopefully they can add AC upstairs and that would help the stay be completely perfect. Very minimum amount of ants when kids left food on counter the cupcakes were taken over by ants. Besides the very few cons there are many more pros to this beautiful place and we would definitely recommend and come back again! Thank you Christopher and family for such a wonderful place!

Lovely home with great kitchen for cooking and baking. Loved the front porch and the swings. Very relaxing and homey. My family and daughters friends didn’t want to leave. Chris was communicative, friendly and responsive. Already planning a girls trip there hopefully in the fall.

We had a great time at Christopher's place! It's in a beautiful and quiet part of Tehachapi but still close to town. We especially enjoyed the large covered deck, pool, and grassy lawn with plenty of trees for shade. The living room is huge and can accommodate the whole family. The upstairs game room was also a bonus. The kitchen was well stocked and the grill area was clean and had plenty of gas for the propane grill. The only thing I would mention is that the pool was not heated. I'm not sure if this was just during the time of year of our stay in August but on cooler days it may be a factor. Chris was a very responsive host, which was great especially because we experienced a massive storm during our stay. Overall, we had a wonderful, comfortable stay. Great place for families and large groups. Highly recommend!

We stayed here for a work event and absolutely adored this AirBnb. Christopher's house is so homey and cozy. You can tell this house has been loved, it's older with character and thought but has updated appliances and has been very well taken care of. The bedrooms were nice, spacious and had everything we needed. We were able to cook dinner for our fairly sizable group as the kitchen is well stocked. The area is far away from most things (you don't stay somewhere like this for a walkable busy trip) but it is very quiet, peaceful and the surroundings are beautiful. I would absolutely stay here for a nice weekend away with friends. The only downside (which is not a deal breaker by any means) is almost all of the bathrooms are connected to a bedroom (great for the people in the bedrooms, makes it a little harder for those staying in the basement bunk room as they have to share the one "public" bathroom on the main floor) but nevertheless, still a great property overall. Highly recommend!

Christopher was so responsive and accommodating! We had to make some changes and he was responsive and kind. I really can not say enough! The place is beautiful, it has everything you need and was a great location. The communication was quick and easy as were directions and check in! If you’re in the area give yourself a treat and stay here!!!

Christopher's giant place is perfect for a large gathering of friends or family. We had a great time playing pool, darts, and yard games. The property is beautiful! It's not far at all from town but feels isolated like it's a world away. We wish we would have had a bit more time there. It was a great escape from Los Angeles.

My family and I loved this place! The perfect getaway from LA to hang and play games and spend quality time together. It was clean and cozy, Great sleeping arrangements, fenced in property, kitchen was great for cooking and hanging together , big comfy sectional & coffee table for competitive board game playing. They also had ping pong, pool, darts, cornhole, and a huge grass area. It was perfect for us and we will definitely be back again in the warmer months so we can use the pool!

This is one of the best places I have stayed. The area is beautiful and the home was absolutely perfect for our crew of 2 families and kids. The cabin is so charming. It is not fancy and you can tell it has been well lived in. That is what made it perfect for us. Beds were super comfortable. Enjoyed mornings and evenings on that awesome porch!! Everything you need is there! We will come back again!!

Clean house, plenty of room for everyone and we had a great time there!

This was an ideal family getaway for us, with something for every generation. The pool was lovely, ping pong and pool tables were busy, and the porch was a great sitting area for watching the children on the swing and playing badminton out front. The kitchen was spacious, and we could prepare meals together. The second refrigerator was appreciated, since there were thirteen of us. We went to Brite Lake nearby, didn't catch anything, but still nice there. We visited town and browsed the second-hand shops and the train museum. We walked around the neighborhood, and people waved at us in a friendly manner. Chris was responsive, helpful, a great host.

Our group had a great retreat weekend at the house. The kitchen area worked so well for preparing group meals and we had lots of space for playing games and chilling out.

It was a great day. Host was awesome easy to work with and would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Lovely and spacious home with tons of space for guests to mingle inside and outside. There is also enough space for people to have privacy when wanted. The surrounding area is peaceful and the added swings and hammock were appreciated. Would stay here again!

This was a perfect home base for our multi-family getaway. The estate is gorgeous, the kitchen had everything we needed for dinners and barbecues, the pool was perfect for hot summer days, and there was tons of space to gather and relax—and let the dogs roam! We’ll always remember sunsets on the wrap around porch. Christopher was also very responsive, proactive, and flexible leading up to and throughout our weekend stay—thank you, Christopher! If you book during a hot spell, just know that the upstairs does get hot when it was 90+ degrees in town. However, there were tons of fans, one window A/C unit upstairs, and the downstairs had A/C to make it more comfortable for everyone. Our entire family looks forward to our next Tehachapi getaway at Christopher’s place, and we would recommend it.

Chris was very responsive, flexible, and friendly. He was very accommodating too which was super helpful. This home is absolutely beautiful and in such a peaceful area surrounded by nature. It’s definitely the perfect place for a getaway trip to relax and rest!

Over all four and a half stars, great family vacation, except for the one upstairs bedroom with A/C not working. We did receive a note prior to check in from Host that A/C was an issue upstairs, per the last guests. Christine brought over a single room A/C unit, but did not seem to help, A/C worked very well in all other rooms and parts of home. Poker table, Darts, Pool Table all in good order and fun to use, BBQ grill worked well. It was s nice to have Kitchen drawers labeled so you know what and where to easily find things .

It was a beautiful house in a relax area, Our family had a great stay and renter was quite nice and responded quickly. Would recommend and rent again.

We went with my family looking for a peaceful place to stay and relax and we weren’t disappointed; great place, it has all we needed for a comfortable stay. We took our dogs and they love it, they run around and not worry in the backyard all it’s fenced. Love how everyone got their private space.
