Overview

***City of Dana Point Short Term Rental Permit #02-7170 - Min age req is 25yrs*****

Experience the charm of a bygone era in this 1975 beach house located in Capistrano Beach, CA. This vintage-inspired retreat offers a unique and nostalgic atmosphere, perfect for a short-term rental getaway. Nestled in the coastal beauty of Capistrano Beach, the house captures the essence of the 1970s with its retro decor and classic beach vibes. Immerse yourself in a time-honored beach experience while enjoying a comfortable stay.

This inviting space includes its own private deck, three separate entries, and is completely private.

The front half of the home includes the kitchen and dining area and three distinct conversation clusters. The first conversation nook is tucked away in the corner with a large couch, TV, and two chairs. (Seating for 8). The second is a raised area, the living room, offering panoramic views and seating for 8. And finally, the 3rd area is a small den off of the kitchen. Up to 5 kids can sit at the counter or on the small couch and dine or watch TV. (Seats 7)

There are two small bedrooms, (one has a king bed, the other a queen), and one large bedroom with 6 beds. (3 bunk beds). There is a full bath in the back section of the house and a full bath in the front portion of the home.

The sand comes and goes along the beach depending on tides. A portable fire pit is located on the edge of the deck and can be easily moved if the tide interferes.

Ideal for those seeking a blend of history, style, and relaxation, this beach house promises a memorable and distinctive short-term rental experience. This is an amazing location and experience. It is not unusual for the waves to roll up on the patio in extreme high tides. Low tides can expose a smooth beach for miles on end or a rocky shoreline that demands water shoes in order to navigate

When you arrive at the entrance to the community, give your name to the safety ambassador and they will provide you with some information on the neighborhood. As mentioned previously, the 3 vehicles allowed inside the community is the maximum. Before arriving provide us with the drivers name of the vehicles that will be staying.

There is second home with a separate entry upstairs that is also available for two family stays. (The upstairs is available June 1 - October 1st). The upstairs is often occupied by 2 to 4 guests and they should not interfere with your stay unless you wish to engage them in conversation, happy hour, or a little ukulele playing.

Situated 1 mile south of Dana Point and 2 miles north of San Clemente. Beyond the beach, you can explore the miles of cycling trails around and between each of the surrounding towns. For traditional and electric bike rentals, as well as locations of trails, be sure to check out the activity section. Enjoy a day of breathtaking views, relaxation, and exploration!

Your reservation includes (3) PERMANANT PARKING SPACES. Provide the first and last name of up to three vehicles before check-in. These vehicles can come and go during your stay. All other vehicles must park in public space outside of the road. (Guests may be picked up at the gate). Where to park:

Perfect family vacation spot. You never have to leave OR just a short drive to restaurants and other beaches! Very clean and well stocked with essentials. We look forward to coming back!

The location is a 10/10. But most of the house is pretty run down and worn out. Not enough silverware. Coffee mugs have micro cracks and leak. It could be made much better by 1. Get some new silverware 2. Get a new dining table. The seats are low relative to the table which was uncomfortable for me and tough for our shorter folks. 3. New coffee mugs. 4. New glassware 5. Decent outdoor furniture. The house has an amazing location RIGHT ON THE BEACH!!! But the seating isn't inviting at all. So we chose to sit inside more which was kind of a bummer. I think a few small investments would greatly improve this house. Oh, lastly, you can't use the microwave, coffee maker and toaster at the same time. You find this out when you get there. But I think it should be disclosed ahead of time.

Beautiful location! Close to the water great to watch from the patio but access to the beach requires you to climb down the rocks. We loved the location

Loved listening to the waves crashing during the night since the windows were cracked open. First thing in the morning found half of our party just drinking coffee on the patio and watching the ocean for hours (and the container ships)...what a great way to relax. It was easy to go in and out of the gates. We even cooked out on the grill one night as we were all tired from the days activities. It was close to the back-yard wedding we came for. The large bedroom with all the bunks let the bride have a last night with girl friends that flew-in with no place to stay. We keep thinking about that patio every morning since coming home. Several of us are ready to move in.
